I guess I must be nesting because I have spent the last two days feverishly getting my house in order. Which is no small task considering the state of things around here. My life has gotten so crazy that housework has been at the bottom of my priority list for far too long. There are multiple household and yard tasks that have been neglected and I am suddenly determined to tackle them.
As I pulled out the mop this afternoon my five-year-old exclaimed, "Oh, you're using that thingy! I like that thingy."
To which his sister interjected, "You mean the mop?"
He replied, "Oh yeah, mop. I haven't seen it for so long I forgot what it was called."
How sad is that?!

If it makes you feel any better, I doubt my kids would know the mop if they saw it. And I don't have the same excuses you do!
I got my "thingy" out today for the first time in over a month. My husband thinks I mop too often but when he saw the dirty mop water when I was through he wanted to know where all the dirt came from. Who knows?
We had a similar experience with the the ironing board.
I hate to use my thingy. I wait as long as I possibly can. I really don't want to disclose more than that. :)
I'm sure my children wouldn't recognize our thingy. Mike has a scooba that he loves to use (yay for me!) and when we aren't using that,I have a sister-in-law who loves to clean, and comes over weekly while my kids are at school. Yeah, I know I'm spoiled!
I am glad to know that I am not the only one who would have children hardly recognize a cleaning tool- I feel much better now!!
